About Jaipur

Jaipur is a beautiful city in India also known as Pink City located as the Capital of Rajasthan. The city looks amazing with its big forts and fancy buildings. It has pretty carvings and a great view of the Aravali mountains. 

Jaipur is important because it is a window to the past of Rajasthan. The city  of Jaipur lies in the buildings which are all painted by the mesmerizing Pink color. Jaipur is a city with ancient buildings and cool history. People like to visit it to see its culture, eat good foods and enjoy the festivals.

Best Time to Visit Jaipur

Jaipur is among the hottest places of Rajasthan. Due to which people visiting from other states may not prefer visiting Jaipur during summer. It will be best to visit Jaipur during monsoon i.e. July-September and winter will be the best time to visit Jaipur.

1. Hawa Mahal- The Palace of Breezes:  Hawa Mahal or The Palace of breezes , is the masterpiece of art where cool winds dance through the 953 delicate windows, offering a refreshing relief from the sun.

It was built in 1799 A.D by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. This place was used to be the haven for royal women to witness the vibrant street life without being seen. Hawa Mahal is not only a palace, it is a symphony of elegance and grace, an enduring symbol of Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage.

3. Jantar Mantar: Ever wondered how ancient scientists observed celestial bodies? Jantar Mantar is their playground! Jantar Mantar Jaipur

4. Amber Fort : Amber (Amer) Fort is the majestic Fort where history and architecture intertwine in a mesmerizing dance. Here you will get to stroll through grand halls decorated with mirrored mosaics that reflect stories of Kings and Queens.

The most enchanting part is the view from the top. When you reach the highest point of the fort, you can see the whole city spread out below you, like a sea of buildings and trees. Amber Fort is a treasure of Jaipur where beauty and history come  together to create a truly magical experience.

Amer Fort Jaipur

5. Nahargarh Fort : Nahargarh Fort is amongst the most visited places of Jaipur. It is like the majestic guardian of the city. This Fort lies at the height of Jaipur where nature and history converge. No matter how many roads and shops you’ve visited in Jaipur, the sight of the Jaipur seen from this Fort will amaze your heart. You can imagine soaking in breathtaking views of Jaipur’s skyline, enveloped by the tranquility of the Aravalli hills.

Creation of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II was named after Nahar Singh Bhomia, a deity believed to protect the Fort. The best time to visit this place is either to watch the sunrise or to watch the sunset. Local people of Jaipur also visit this place for Jogging, night outing, etc.

Nahargarh Fort

Legacy of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II shines through this Fort. There lies the world’s largest cannon on wheels named ‘Jaivana’. You can also walk to Amer Fort from here. 7. Albert Hall Museum : The well designed architects of Jaipur where you find groups of pigeons flying and wandering all the time, is Albert Hall Museum. 9. Galtaji Temple: Galtaji Temple, also known as Monkey Temple is a temple adorned with natural springs, pools and playful monkeys. Its aura is one of mystique and devotion, a serene escape from the bustling city. It was founded in the 18th Century. The Water tanks and sacred rituals of this temple continue to attract devotees seeking blessings.

Galta Tempe Jaipur

10. Sisodia Rani Garden : Sisodia Rani Garden is a paradise of painted pavilions and terrace gardens. As Jaipur city is the Capital city of Rajasthan, here do not lies only 10 places. It endorses several beautiful places. I will also mention some of the place you must visit in Jaipur in bullet points:

  • Jal Mahal: Place located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake
  • Jawahar Circle: A large park with musical fountain (Sunday 8 PM only) and jogging track
