Yes! The trek to Ghandruk is considered moderate and beginner-friendly. The trail is well-marked and not physically demanding compared to higher Himalayan treks. With our experienced guide, first-time trekkers can enjoy a safe and comfortable experience while still experiencing real Himalayan trekking.

Ghandruk is located at approximately 1,940 meters (6,365 feet) above sea level. This altitude is moderate, and most travelers do not experience serious altitude sickness. However, we recommend drinking plenty of water, walking at a comfortable pace, and informing your guide of any discomfort.

The trek to Ghandruk from Nayapul or Kande is around 3–4 hours depending on your pace. The trail passes through lush forests, terraced fields, streams, and small villages, offering panoramic views of the Annapurna range. The path is mostly gradual, with some moderate uphill sections, suitable for all fitness levels with basic stamina.

In Ghandruk, you will stay in comfortable tea houses or lodges, which offer basic facilities, clean rooms, and warm hospitality. Pokhara offers hotels with modern amenities near the lakeside. In Kathmandu, you stay in 3-star or similar hotels with breakfast included. The focus is on comfort and local experience.

Breakfast is included every day, while lunch and dinner are partially included depending on the day and location. In Ghandruk, most lodges provide traditional Nepali meals, giving you an authentic cultural experience. Snacks and personal beverages are not included, so it’s good to carry some personal items.

For this trek, we recommend carrying comfortable trekking shoes, a warm jacket, raincoat, hat, water bottle, trekking poles (optional), and personal medicines. We provide guidance on gear during the pre-trek briefing. Light packing is best as you will carry your own daypack; porters are optional.
