Several places in Bangalore are named after him. Bengaluru is also renowned as Silicon Valley of India as most of the Tech Industry beholds its headquarters inside the city.
Bengaluru lies at the altitude of 900 meters from the sea level, which makes the temperature of Bangalore moderate and constant for all the months of the year. And also, it has the nicest rainfall during the monsoon. Except from the climate, Bangalore has the combined vibes of the Country as students and workers across India join at this hub and make the city’s atmosphere multicultural.
Bengaluru is also known as the “Garden City of India” as it is surrounded by most of the green parks along with the streets with lush green trees. It is also famous for Educational and Research Institutions. It has a strong traditional culture for Dances, Arts and Musics. Bisi Bele Bhat is the most famous food of Bangalore. The city has the best nightlife with pubs, bars and restaurants and is also often called as “Pub Capital of India”. As a fast growing city, Bangalore is facing some challenges like traffic congestion and pollution, which can only be overcome once the city has got its adequate infrastructure.

- Lalbagh Botanical Garden
Most iconic and historic landmark located in the heart of the city, Lalbagh Botanical Garden is the heaven of natural beauty and biodiversity. It is spread over 240 acres of land and houses a variety of plants, trees, lakes and monuments. “Glass House” is one of the most iconic features of Lalbagh which is the model of London Crystal Palace.
It has more than 1800 species of Plants and Trees. Lalbagh garden is also renowned for its famous Flower Show which occurs only twice in a year i.e. 26th January (Republic Day) and 15th August (Independence Day).

Entry Fees: INR 25 for adults, however it is free for early joggers between 6 AM to 9 AM.
- Cubbon Park
Established in 1870, Cubbon Park is not only the park but a representation of Bengaluru’s rich ecological, cultural and historic fabric. This park is named after Sir Mark Cubbon who was former British Commissioner of Mysore. It is famous for recreational activities like Jogging, Walking, Yoga & Meditation and Photographies.
It is also surrounded by many historic & cultural places like Attara Kacheri (Attara Kacheri), Bangalore Aquarium, and many other statues and landmarks. It plays a crucial role in making ecological balance in Bengaluru.

- Bangalore Palace
Bangalore Palace is one of the most iconic structures of Bengaluru. It was constructed by Chamaraja Wadiyar, the 23rd Maharaja from Wadiyar Dynasty. It is built in Tudor Revival Style having beautiful interiors like paintings & Artifacts, wooden staircases & ceiling , and many more. It entitles the King’s courtyard, Ball room, Royal Bedrooms and Gallery of Photographs.
It also holds the collection of Vintage cars belonging to the Royal family. Events and activities like cultural, music and also fairs and exhibitions are performed here.

- Bannerghatta National Park
Covering an area of 260 sq. km., Bannerghatta National Park experiences the tropical climate with moderate temperature throughout the year. It is a habitat for different types of biodiversity. Bannerghatta is famous for its Zoo, Safari and Butterfly park. It is also famous for hikings.

Opening Time: 9:30 AM – 5 PM, except Tuesday
Entry Fees: Entry fees depend upon the activities you choose to do inside. Entry fees for Safari ranges from Rs. 250-500, having different prices for Adult, Childrens and Foreigners.

- Ulsoor Lake
Ulsoor Lake is a beautiful and calm spot in the heart of Bengaluru. It is surrounded by the lush greenery making a beautiful escape from the busy streets of Bangalore. The lake is stippled by the small islands which definitely adds charms in its scenic beauty.
If you are looking for a peaceful environment with beautiful boat rides, then this place is worth a place. You can walk in the pathways or sit and enjoy its view while inhaling the fresh air in Bangalore.

- Nandi Hills
Nandi hills is a popular hill station which is located about 60 km away from the Bangalore city. This Hills lies at an altitude of 1478 meters. It is covered by lush greenery with a variety of flora and fauna. It is very popular for its stunning sunrise views. On clear mornings, visitors can witness the cloud moving below from the top. You can also visit Nandi temple there.
You can go hiking, cycling and also do paragliding from there. You can reach there by road, rail or air. You can also find some guest houses or resorts nearby where you can stay overnight so that you can walk early for the wonderful sunrise view.

- Muthyala Muduvu
Muthyala Muduvu also known as Pearl valley located about 40 Kms from Bangalore, is a serene and picturesque destination. This valley is mostly famous for its lush greenery, beautiful waterfalls and for birdwatching. People go there for hikings, picnicking and for photographs at this beautiful place.
You can reach this place by a 1 or 2 hour ride from Bangalore. However, there are no places for accommodation at Pearl valley but you can stay at Bannerghatta.

- Makalidurga
Makalidurga is a trekking spot which is located about 60 kms away from Bangalore having an altitude of 1117 meters. It is famous for its rugged terrain and serene environment. This place is also famous for its scenic view of Gundamagere Lake and for moderate hiking. People also prefer to hike early in the morning for sunrise and also best for camping.

- Innovative Film City
Expanded over 58 acres of Land in Bidadi, Innovative Film City is one of the most popular entertainment destinations of Bengaluru. There lies film studios and sets where you can get insight or behind the scenes of how movies are made. There is also an amusement park where you can do several adventures like biking, zip line and various other rides.
It also has different kinds of museums and architecture where you can entertain yourself. Dino Park, Wax Museum, and Mirror Maze, etc. are some of the examples. Cartoon City inside it is very good for the kids. You can also find a place to dine and shop inside the Film city.

Wonderla Park is one of the biggest and most popular amusement parks of India, which offers several rides, water fun and activities suitable for all the ages. There are several kinds of rides like Dry rides, Water rides, Family rides, Kids rides, etc. This park promises a day full of excitement and fun. There are many things you can go through the whole day. There are also restaurants where you can have your lunch and also many souvenir shops for you to purchase.
